SPC Photo Awards: Jury Prize 2019
I’m absolutely thrilled – with my photo “Glowing Mushrooms”, I won the Jury Prize yesterday, March 24, at the Swiss Photo Awards!
The ten-day exhibition in the heart of Zurich, at the Photobastei, was initiated and organized by the Swiss Photo Club. This event showcased many outstanding photographs from other photographers in gallery quality, and the best submissions were selected. I had to admit that the level of competition was extremely high, making the final decision a very close one.
At the Swiss Photo Awards, four winning photos (one small photo and three large photos) are chosen by the votes of the visitors. During the ten days of the exhibition, visitors could cast their votes in writing for their personal favorites. From all the submitted votes, the winning images were determined.
In addition, an extra photo is selected by the expert jury itself. I feel honored that the jury of the Swiss Photo Club chose my photo. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me recently and continues to motivate me to “take it up another notch”!

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Swiss Photo Club for this wonderful event, and I’m already looking forward to future ones! On top of the recognition, I’m also delighted to be able to join a professionally organized photo trip. Of course, I’ll be sharing the results here again – both in words and pictures!
